Mode 1. |
As we are led up to a noetic and immaterial perception of the bodiless hosts, by means of physical depictions, and as we wait for the illumination, that comes from the Godhead in three Hypostases, let us imitate the cherubim, and sing aloud the Thrice-Holy Hymn to the only God: Holy, holy, holy are You, our God. O Trinity, consubstantial and undivided, O Unity, with three hypostases and co-eternal, to You as God we shout the hymn of the Angels: Holy, holy, holy are You, our God. [SD] … * |

Daring to glorify the unoriginate Father, the co-unoriginate Son, and the co-eternal Spirit, the one Godhead, we utter in the manner of the Cherubim: Holy, holy, holy are You, our God. [SD] … * |

The Judge will arrive suddenly, and the actions of each of us will be laid bare. So, with fear, let us cry out in middle of the night: Holy, holy, holy are You, our God. Through the Theotokos have mercy on us. |

Mode pl. 2. |
With fear the Cherubim standing near You, and trembling the Seraphim astounded, sing to You the thrice-holy hymn, with never-silent voices. And we, sinners though we be, join them and cry out: Holy, holy, holy are You, our God! [SD] … * |
Glory. |
The six-winged Seraphim, with their bodiless mouths, never cease to sing the thrice-holy hymn to You, our God. And we on earth, albeit with unworthy lips, send up praises to You: Holy, holy, holy are You, our God! [SD] … * |
