Creation rejoices in you, O Lady full of grace, beholding the miracle of miracles. For you conceived without seed, and ineffably gave birth to the One whom the orders of the angels cannot see. Entreat Him earnestly on behalf of our souls.

At, God is the Lord.

When Gabriel had uttered rejoice to you, O Virgin, * then with the voice was the Lord of all becoming incarnate * in you whom the holy Ark of old * prefigured, as righteous David said. * You carried your Creator and proved to be more spacious than the heavens. * Glory to Him who dwelt inside of you! * Glory to Him who came forth from You! * Glory be to Him who through your childbirth has set us free!

At, God is the Lord.

As the Mother of God, you are the source * of compassion. O Lady, count us worthy of pity. * Look upon us graciously, though we have sinned. * Demonstrate your power, as you always do. * For, placing our hope in you, * we cry out, Rejoice, to you, * as did Gabriel of old, * as the chief commander of the bodiless hosts.

At the end of Matins.

Holy Mother of the immaculate Light, we honor you with angelic hymns, and magnify you piously.

We have become partakers of divine nature through you, O ever-virgin Maid, since for us you gave birth unto God become incarnate. Therefore we all dutifully magnify you piously.

On Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

You are supremely glorified, O Virgin Theotokos; we sing your praise. For by means of your Son''s crucifixion has Hades been overthrown and death itself has died. We have risen, who once were dead, and have been made worthy of life. We received the original enjoyment of Paradise. And therefore with thanksgiving we send up glory to Christ our God because He is powerful and alone very merciful.

Seeing how beautiful was your virginity, * and how your purity shone forth resplendently, * amazed was Gabriel who cried to you thus, O Theotokos: * "What shall I present to you * as a worthy encomium? * What shall I address you as? * At a loss and perplexed am I. * And therefore I, as ordered, cry out to you: * Rejoice, O Maiden full of grace!"

On Sunday evening and Monday morning.

To you who were raised in the Temple, in the Holy of Holies, and who were clothed in faith and wisdom and measureless virginity, the Supreme Commander Gabriel from heaven brought the salutation, "Rejoice"; "Rejoice, O blessed Maiden! Rejoice, O glorified one! The Lord is with you."

We are unequipped to praise you worthily, O Theotokos, for you are the highest of all things created. Therefore, we entreat you: As a gift to us, have mercy on us.

On Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

O humble sinners, let us now run in earnest * unto the Theotokos, and in repentance * fall down to her and cry out from the depths of our souls: * Show compassion unto us * and provide your assistance. * Hasten; we are perishing * in our many transgressions. * Turn not your servants empty-handed away; * for we have found you, O Lady, our only hope.

O Theotokos, through you became manifest to us on earth the mystery, which was hid from eternity, and which the Angels themselves knew not: that God, uniting natures without confusion, becomes a man and accepts crucifixion for our salvation voluntarily. By virtue of this, resurrecting man whom He had first created, He saved our souls from death.

At the end of Matins.

We magnify you, O Theotokos, and cry out: You are the bush in which, without being burnt, Moses saw, as a flame, the fire of Divinity.

Gabriel''s salutation of the Virgin was the beginning of our salvation. For she heard him say, Rejoice, and did not reject the greeting. * She did not hesitate, like Sarah in the tent, but rather this is what she said, * "Behold the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word."

By your prayers save us, O Virgin immaculate, stirring your maternal affections for your Son and our God.

On Thursday evening and Friday morning.

At, God is the Lord.

When the Mother of the Lamb and Shepherd and Savior of the world saw Him on the Cross, she uttered tearfully, "The world rejoices at receiving redemption, but my insides are burning as I see Your crucifixion, which You endure for all, O my Son and my God."

At the end of Matins.

O immaculate Maiden, the fruit of your womb is the fulfillment of the Prophets and the Law. Therefore, O Theotokos, with understanding, we glorify and magnify you piously.

On Friday evening and Saturday morning.

At, God is the Lord.

Born of a Virgin, O Good One who also endured crucifixion for our sake, who by death took the spoils of death as plunder and showed resurrection, being God, O despise not the ones that You formed with Your own hand. Demonstrate Your love for man, O Lord of mercy, and accept Your Mother, the Theotokos, who intercedes on our behalf, O Savior, and save us a despairing people.
